PEKA – Year 6 Science Project

The UPSR Science Practical Work Assessment (UPSR PEKA) is a school based assessment that is implemented at school level as part of teaching and learning process. UPSR PEKA Assessment Guide contains information on the objectives, characteristics and organization of UPSR PEKA. It also outlines the procedures to assess the pupils’ practical work as guidelines to teachers as assessors and users of PEKA to carry out the assessment
in a coordinated manner.

OBJECTIVES OF UPSR PEKA
The objectives in conducting UPSR PEKA is to enable the pupils to :
* Master the Scientific Skills
- Science Process Skills
- Science Manipulative Skills
* Strengthen the knowledge and understanding on the theories and concepts in Science
* Inculcate the Scientific Attitudes and Noble Values

Never Too Young To Create Your First Blog

Pre-teen shows a computer savvy on his blog

Hey boys, do you have your own blog? When you want to create yours one if you don’t have a blog yet? One of the 11-year-old boy who living in USJ already created his own blog last year and his name is Gloson Teh. He has actually created his own website and he also does the maintainence and design for it as well. Gloson is now studying at USJ20 primary school and he blogs about anything that he learns from school and also outside school into his blog. He would also write about tips to guide people with usage of certain features, like how to download and upload videos to youtube, easy blogging tips and other useful Internet free tools. He got talent in writing poems. His poems are available for viewing at www.poetrytalents.com and he has written more than 100 of them so far. Gloson said he would update his blog once every two days. His site uploads photos of his five pet cats regularly. If you like pets very much, than feel free to visit his site at www.glosonblog.com.
